Grannas Racing

McLeod Single Disc (stage 1 - 4) "budget clutch" for 2JZ / 1JZ

$ 412.00

$ 412.00

These are budget clutches, made for street setups and are not recommended for drift cars or any heavy abuse usage like "banging off the rev limiter". They will work on both 1JZ and 2JZ engines.

These use a "5-speed/W58" single mass steel flywheel. These are a push style clutch, so if you are planning on running this setup you will need a hydraulic release bearing in addition to make the setup work.

This clutch requires a 500-mile/1200 clutch-cycle break-in procedure.

 If your looking for a single disc option for the V160/V161 I would recommend the south bend clutches!

Below is a list of all the stages with descriptions and power levels.

STAGE 4
Horsepower Rating: 650 wheel horsepower max

The McLeod "Street Supreme" clutch (stage 4) has a 2200# clamp load pressure plate along with a sprung six-puck ceramic disc. Considering the price and torque capacity these clutches are pretty amazing. This clutch doesn’t make noise or has that shudder/chatter that some singles can have. Far from harsh-engaging, and very nice to drive.

STAGE 3
Horsepower Rating: 550 wheel horsepower max
The McLeod "Street Elite" clutch (stage 3) has a 2200# clamp load pressure plate combined with an organic steel-backed sprung disc setup. Pressure plate is not super heavy and engages nicely with the organic disc. Solid option for street guys looking that do a little bit of roll racing.

STAGE 2
Horsepower Rating: 475 wheel horsepower max
The McLeod "Street Power" clutch (stage 2) has a stock-like clamp load but with a six-puck ceramic disc, also sprung. This disc combined with the stock-like clamp load makes it not as aggressive as one expects with the six-puck. It engages really nicely and smoothly. This clutch is more suited towards a daily driven car with occasional roll races. This is a good option for the lower power guys to start with.

STAGE 1
Horsepower Rating: 475 wheel horsepower max
The McLeod "Street Tuner" clutch (stage 1) has a stock-like clamp load with steel-backed organic disc. Sprung hub. More of a step up over OEM kind of setup. Mild power and more of the daily driven setup.
