The GR700 kit is the newest version of the full bolt in T56 Magnum swap kit for JZ swapped 1st Gen Toyota Tacoma. The GR700 kit includes the quicktime bellhousing, for street cars i recommend the GR700A Tacoma kit with the aluminum bellhousing.
This kit is intended for the 1995-2004 1st generation Tacoma, which includes the N140, N150, N160, N170 and N190. This kit is ONLY for trucks that have been 1JZ or 2JZ swapped.
This kit includes a brand new Tremec T56 Magnum, GR cast aluminum bell housing, factory Magnum shifter with GR 6" billet shift lever, chromoly transmission mount, bluetooth wiring harness, bellhousing index plate, and all hardware required. Driveshafts and clutches are optional, but recommended to make this an easy bolt-in experience. There is NO CORE charge for our transmission kits.
The wiring harness we include makes for a super clean and simple install. But not only that, but it has a bluetooth module with you can play with the settings such as reverse lockout control, and convert and adjust the T56 speed signal to make the factory speedometer work perfectly. No more need to cut down the reverse lockout spring or wire in a manual reverse unlock switch, this will auto unlock reverse under a set MPH (defaults to 4mph)! All of the settings are all adjustable through your smart phone with an app.

The stock tremec Magnum is rated at 700 ft lbs of torque. These T56 Magnum transmissions are FREAKISHLY strong and will outlast all other h-pattern transmissions at high power levels. Everything I build is tested rigorously in my racing program. No one else pushes these parts to the level I do! You can rest assured all parts go through my quality control and abused to test the limits of these 6-speed transmissions!
In 2016, I built and tested the first Supra T56 Magnum kit in my own car to be a direct replacement for the Getrag V160. After much research I found that the Tremec T56 Magnum was the strongest and best candidate to replace the V160. I built the first kit and the rest is history. These transmissions are now the "norm" in many import cars. The Tremec T56 Magnum transmissions have great aftermarket support, aftermarket gearsets, and parts readily available if an issue would arise.

We take a brand new Magnum Trans and give it a full REM polishing and Cryogenic treatment of the gear set. We do a 1st thru 4th carbon fiber blocker ring upgrade. We take a brand new Magnum Trans and faceplate 1st-4th gears. Includes custom billet shift forks, bronze fork pads, and then we do a cryogenic treatment of the gearset, and then do a rem polishing of the gearset. Read more here: GR1000F Transmission
This crossmember is designed to be able to be slid forward and back based on the engine placement in the bay. This does not use any factory bolt holes, and instead requires you to drill four holes in the frame to allow pass-through bolts to be used. This is the best, strongest way to do this and allows flexibility in the engine mounting location as well. This also ensures my kit will fit no matter what engine mounts you are using.
In the mockup picture we used a Magnum-F which was only for mockup purposes. This kit will include a regular magnum, which is a better fit for the shifter location in these trucks. In the kit pictures I show the aluminum bell
The OEM toyota tunnel requires minimal tunnel modification near the bellhousing and at the rear of the trans with some minor tapping by the reverse lockout solenoid.
If you are converting a factory auto truck it will require some trimming of the tunnel. I do not offer the OEM taco parts at this time, sorry!
PLEASE NOTE: On a small displacement engine, or turbo application, the T56 Magnum transmission works great with shorter rear gearing. I recommend the 3.73 to 4.30 range. What I consider the best rear ratio for most street cars is 4.10
