In this video Ryan Scott from Pure Function installs one of our complete 8.8" Ford rear kits. In the video Ryan covers every aspect of the install, from the removal of the OEM toyota differential, to swapping the ABS tone rings onto the new axles, to setting up the pinion angle.
The kit Ryan chose was the MKIV Supra kit, with DrivesshaftShop Level5 axles, and aluminum driveshaft. He chose the thunderbird rear differential for his 1100HP build and we sourced the core and built and assembled him a complete setup ready to bolt into the car. No need for trying to find a pumpkin, we got it covered! He only had to add the oil, and bolt the differential into the car.
I recommend the 8.8 kits for those looking for a strong, quiet, street car differential. You can find our 8.8" kits on the website under the differentials section. We make a few different 8.8 kits but the most popular kits I offer:
MKIV Supra 8.8 rear kit
IS300 Ford 8.8 rear end kit
Subaru BRZ / Scion FRS / Toyota 86 8.8" rear end kit
If you are interested in pricing on a full kit, please fill out this form and I will work it up based on your car grannasracing.com/rearquote
Take some time to watch this comprehensive guide on the install. The only thing not covered here is the optional PRO LEVEL wheel hub install, which basically requires pressing off the OEM wheel hubs and installing the billet DSS Pro wheel hubs which are good for 1500HP Supras.
