UPDATE 1/25/2022: I do recommend checking runout with an index plate. I have been noticing more and more customer's toyota blocks who are more out of spec than others. We are within .002 on the bells, and consistent, so the inconsistency comes from the blocks... A smaller percentage (about 15 in 400 bells sold) has shown an out of index condition, so I think it is better to play it safe and just check these to be sure. Out of index can cause premature failure of the input bearing as well as uneven wear and heat in the input gear. A tell-tale sign of an out of index bell can be a lot of rollover noise coming from the transmission. This is due to a side-loading condition on the input which over time can cause transmission issues. I do index plate rentals for any customer who purchased a bell or kit from me.
NEW GRANNAS CAST ALUMINUM BELLHOUSING!!! VIDEO BELOW
Out of a need for an easier to install, quieter setup for street cars, a cast aluminum bell that is machined to spec has always been something I wanted to take on... but I did not have the sales volume where I felt comfortable doing this until now.
In this video I cover the advantages to my new street bell housing setup which will now be standard in all GR700 Kits. This cast aluminum adapter bellhousing Works with any 2JZ and 1JZ engines and any LS based T56 or any Tremec T56 Magnum including Magnum-F and Magnum XL.
This bellhousing should reduce noise, require less work, and make for a much easier install. No index plate, no offset dowels, no extra wait time to order the proper offset dowels, and no extra downtime.
I AM DOING A GROUP BUY FOR KITS WITH THIS NEW BELL. The deal is going to be hard to beat. In addition to the new Aluminum bell kit, you will get a FREE SINGLE DISC CLUTCH or $500 OFF ANY OTHER HEAVIER DUTY CLUTCH.

This is something I have been keeping under wraps for about 8 months, and it's finally coming to life. Once machine work is completed, these will be standard in all GR700 kits! I will continue to stock Quicktime bells and they will always still be on the shelf for the guys who want to race and have a SFI certified bell.
