GR88 Ultimate Ford 8.8" Rear End Swap Kit for Toyota Supra / Lexus SC300

The "GR88 Ultimate" 8.8 conversion kit for the MKIV Supra / Lexus SC / GS chassis utilizes our new HD Cast 8.8 differential cover. The cover features main cap supporting load bolts, a breather port, a rear fill port, a side fill port, and drain port. The rear cover uses a bolt on mounting plate which allows the cover to be mounted directly into your car with no modifications.

The GR88 Ultimate kit has the following advantages:

1. GR88 Ultimate rear diff cover, which offers higher fluid capacity for better gear lubrication, better cooling and less fluid volatility (no catch can!)
2. Easy maintenance - side fill port allows filling while diff is in car
3. Precision machining - always square and will always seal without leaks
4. Deeper back clearance for big gears. Previous setup had clearance issues with 3.73 or shorter gear ratios
5. Easy install, one-step install process with load bolts. No more installing cover, then setting up load bolts, then uninstalling to seal and add on the rear cage.

The Ford 8.8 is a great bang for your buck rear end. It has many many gear options available, which makes it not only very affordable, but also very flexible!

This kit will work with a 2007-2010 Ford Explorer 8.8 IRS case, the 2003-2004 Cobra case (also lincoln Mark8 1993-1997), or the cast iron Ford Thunderbird (1989-1997) case. The cast iron thunderbird is the strongest case. The explorer case is the easiest to find, and can be found relatively cheap, around $250.

The Grannas Racing kit will allow you to bolt in this strong, affordable rear end kit into your car with out any cutting or fabrication. The kit is 100% bolt in, and used your factory rear subframe mounting holes. The mounting parts also come with a lifetime warranty! I am confident they will hold whatever you throw at them!

THIS KIT IS NOT SOLD WITHOUT AXLES. I offer two options for axles: 

Level 5 Axles:
These are "direct-fit" and require no work other than bolting them in. These axles feature a billet outer stub that will bolt-in to your factory wheel hubs. These axles are good for around 1000hp.

PRO Axles:
The heavy hitter option is the Driveshaft Shop Pro-Level 1400HP axles, which include a heavier bar and also upgraded spline, billet outer wheel hubs. The hub is a weak link in extreme power cars, so these will be only for the really big power guys. I recommend them for 1000+HP cars.

Axles are normally in stock. Aluminum or Carbon Fiber driveshafts can be made for any transmission combination, i stock a lot of these as well. If you do not see your transmission listed, we can make it custom after you give us a measurement.

You can have a local shop mustang/domestic shop build your junkyard 8.8. I can provide all the rebuild parts required if you would like. In the dropdown options, you can select a GR rebuild kit which includes an Truetrac LSD, and gear ratio of your choice, and all new bearings and seals. For ring and pinion, in V160 cars I recommend a 3.25 gear, for the T56 Magnum / GR series transmissions I recommend 4.10 gearing.

I do not recommend using any other gear than Ford Motorsports, as they are the quietest gears made. The ratios they offer are 3.31, 3.55, 3.73 and 4.10
