The ST stands for STREET CLUTCH! The thing that separates this clutch from the competition is TWO SPRUNG discs in the organic version clutch. These sprung discs help to dampen harmonics, and quiet the overall manual transmission driving experience. This is why most OEM cars clutch discs are sprung. This feature makes it the most friendly street twin disc ever. Sprung discs not only soften the initial hit when starting out from a stop, but also dampen noise while driving. They also help dampen engine to transmission noise during lugging conditions.
These clutches come with two pressure plate spring options that will change the clamping power. The standard "grey" spring is what the guys with big power street cars will want. The daily driver "orange" spring offers a 30% reduction in pedal effort over the gray spring but also reduces torque capacity by about 25%. Both organic and cerametallic clutches have these options.
The ST-215 features a BILLET pressure plate with heavy duty strapped floater, which also helps to decrease chatter. Compare this clutch to some of the other overseas stamped steel options out there and you can not beat it for the price!

The ST215 is available in "HD" cerametallic version has segmented UNSPRUNG discs, which can holds more power.
While this video shows a ST246 (big brother of the ST215) even the big clutch with the 1250+ torque diaphragm spring still drives great!
The ST215 clutch is available for Honda K-series, Honda F20/F22, Mazda 13B/20B+ Rotary, BMW M52 and more. Transmission applications and T56, G-Force, V160/V161, CD009 and R154 transmissions. 14 spline, 18 spline, 21 spline, 24 spline, and 26 spline options.
