These bell housings also come standard in all my GR700A kits (The "A" is for the aluminum bell). Our bells are made with heavy wall aluminum, which will dampen clutch and engine noise much better than the steel counterparts.

These cast aluminum bellhousings are precision machined to within .002 of center. While we are proud of our tight tolerances, we do recommend double checking your block for index to ensure you are within .005 runout for high performance applications. Sometimes manufacturers tolerances are not as tight or if your block was line bored this can cause more runout. Read below for more info on checking runout.

The JZ bells feature a service window which is super beneficial if you need to adjust a hydraulic release bearing. Previously this would not be possible without removal of the transmission.

INDEXING / CHECKING RUNOUT

In order to keep your TREMEC warranty, I recommend checking runout with an index plate. I have been noticed inconsistency in engine blocks where some are more out of spec than others. We are within .002 on the machining tolerances on these bells... so very consistent... But we have found the inconsistency comes from the engine blocks... It is better to play it safe and just check your runout. Out of index can cause premature failure of the input bearing as well as uneven wear and heat in the input gear. A tell-tale sign of an out of index bell can be extra rollover noise coming from the transmission. This is due to a side-loading condition on the input which over time can cause transmission issues. 

These will work with GM based TR6060 transmissions as well (if using a magnum front plate)
